Elana Cowen

Elana Cowen, mezzo-soprano, is a recurring performer on the West Coast as well as the United States and abroad. Particular companies Ms. Cowen has worked with include Opera San José, Utah Festival Opera, L.A. Philharmonic, Lamplighters Music Theatre and San Francisco Lyric Opera. Ms. Cowen is a frequent performer with Pocket Opera, seen in La Cenerentola, Orpheus in the Underworld and as Ganymede in von Suppe’s My Fair Galatea this season. Other operatic roles performed include Gertrude Stein in Jonathan Sheffer’s Blood on the Dining Room Floor, Second Lady in The Magic Flute, Lidio in L’Egisto and Dinah in Trouble in Tahiti.
