You’ll enjoy every mischievous minute of this military romp featuring the antics of the charming tomboy, Marie. Found by Sergeant Sulpice in a battlefield as a baby, Marie was lovingly raised by the 21st Regiment of the French Army. Now an adult, she learns that she may have to abandon her troops, and her beloved Tonio, to join French aristocracy and marry someone she doesn’t love. Comic moments abound in this opera, famous for Tonio’s Nine High C’s aria.
