Hailed as “sensitive” (New York Times) and an “elegant… standout” (Opera News), Canadian-American Soprano Allison Nicholas is a recent graduate of the of the Manhattan School of Music.  This season, Allison will join Sugar Creek’s production of The Magic Flute (Papagena). Previous role highlights include Hänsel ind Gretel (Sandmann), Così fan tutte (Despina), Thaïs (Crobyle), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Tytania), Suor Angelica (Genovieffa), and Die Verschwörenen (Helene). Allison was recently awarded Florentine Opera’s encouragement award and had the pleasure of singing with in concert.  She is also the recipient of the Dr Leslie Harris Memorial Scholarship, the Dorothy Duff Moores Scholarship and the Jerret Memorial Scholarship.
